Success Story – Geographic Technologies Group Wins with the Department of Energy

Geographic Technologies Group provides surveying and mapping services nationwide.  After becoming a client of South Carolina APEX Accelerator in July 2024, Geographic Technologies Group began meeting with procurement Ashley Duwel seeking federal contracting opportunities both at the prim and subcontracting levels. When meeting with Ashley, GTG received capability statement assistance to enhance their company marketing materials, reviewing opportunities with GSA, learning about Teaming/Joint Ventures and how to network with Prime contractors. GTG continued to meet with Ashley to learn how to improve their email outreach and identify key contacts across various states.

In September, Geographic Technologies Group was awarded $1,536,078 from the Department of Energy – Western Nevada region to provide Aerial Mapping & Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) Services for Vegetation Management for Western Area Power Administration’s (WAPA) Sierra Nevada Region (SNR). GTG has continued to work with SC APEX Accelerator to seek additional opportunities and offering at the state and federal levels.
