Success Story – Kambiar Healthcare Secures Statewide Term Contract in South Carolina

Keona Banks-Todd is the owner of Kambiar Healthcare. Kambiar Healthcare offers temporary staffing of healthcare professionals in South and North Carolina. Aware of SC APEX Accelerator prior to the program’s rebrand as an owner of another business, Keona sought the services of SC APEX when starting Kambiar Healthcare. At the time, Keona took advantage of one-on-one assistance with a procurement counselor as well as online training to understand government language and how they work with small businesses. Keona began meeting with program manager Ron Conner to review solicitations that aligned with her business.

Through our assistance, Keona learned how to properly submit responses to solicitations which led to the winning of her first statewide term contract award to provide temporary medical staffing. Keona says, “It’s been amazing. SC APEX has been very supportive of anything I don’t understand, even getting signed up for bid-match services. That was a resource I was unaware of was available to us. As I look for ways to increase opportunities that can also help with the economic growth in the state of South Carolina.”
